04 May FANTEK: Call for applications for the workshop « Digital Arts and Personal Creative Practice » With “Jace Clayton / DJ Rupture”.
As part of its activities, and in collaboration with the Fulbright specialist program of the US Embassy, FANTEK is organizing a 11-day workshop which will focus on the potential interactions between different creative practices and disciplines of digital arts, lead by the international artist, DJ and researcher Jace Clayton.
The workshop will focus on two axes:
– Potential interactions between digital and acoustic music.
– The development of multidisciplinary creative processes.
Who can participate?
This workshop is for amateur as well as professional artists of various disciplines, all ages, who are currently working on a personal creative project and have an interest in digital arts. Disciplines can include everything from music to visual, audiovisual, multimedia, performing arts and many more. Candidates from ICT sectors (information and communication technologies) are also eligible for this workshop.
The workshop is based on an interactive approach and relies on the active engagement of its participants. Candidates should be working on a project or artistic practice, which could involve the digital arts. The goal of the workshop is to collectively develop an interdisciplinary creative project.
Duration / Hours / Location:
The workshop will take place from May 21 to June 02, 2019 in Dar Lasrem II in the Medina of Tunis. It is to notice that 40% to 60% of the workshop sessions will be held in the evening starting from 20h (after Iftar).
How to apply:
To apply for this workshop, candidates are asked to send a short CV (one page), a mini-portfolio presenting an already developed or ongoing project that is related to the workshop topic. The portfolio could be a collection of images, videos, demo tapes, with a brief text description, a link to a personal blog, a page on social networks …
